A fully free program in development for underserved and underemployed young people aged 18–24, starting in Brooklyn neighbourhoods including Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Cypress Hills and East New York. Participants would learn to code with working engineers and train together through soccer, cycling and running, with mentoring and career preparation built in.

ontopIT was founded by Kenny Akpan, CEO and Principal Architect, a frontend engineer who has modernised platforms as a contractor for organisations including Citibank, Mediaocean, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Tax.com. For more than three years he has also consulted with EQengineered on AI-driven modernisation of client technology stacks in tax, pharmaceuticals and supermarket retail. He leads ontopIT client delivery personally and is building the Academy around the same standards.
